BRAINWeek 2022 Digital All Access
The enormity of CNS-related conditions poses an immense burden to public health. In 2022, there remain significant knowledge gaps among clinicians treating neurologic and psychiatric disorders. Conditions such as dementia, epilepsy, migraine, MS, and stroke require a more inclusive approach to continuing medical education.
The BRAINWeek 2022 Digital All Access agenda has been crafted to address the most frequently diagnosed conditions encountered in clinical practice, with an emphasis on collaborative care among specialists and frontline practitioners.
Developed by the PAINWeek organization, BRAINWeek is a practical, expansive educational platform targeted to specialists and frontline practitioners managing CNS disorders, and is composed of live, digital, and print activities.
The educational design of this activity addresses the needs of neurologist, otolaryngologist, psychiatrist, and frontline practitioners involved in the treatment of patients with CNS disorders.
- Describe the incidence rate, etiology, and clinical presentation of psychiatric and neurologically based CNS disorders
- Review barriers to care for patients struggling with mental health and neurological conditions
- Explain the impact that CNS disorders have on patients, providers, caregivers, and the US health system
- Outline the need for differential diagnosis and multidisciplinary collaboration when addressing CNS disorders
- Discuss the current treatment landscape and emerging therapies for CNS conditions
- Recall communication methods, treatment modalities, and clinical pearls related to the psychiatric, cognitive, and neurological functions that may optimize patient outcomes
